2015 Taiwan Migrants Video Awards

The 1st Immigrant and Migrant Short Film Awards


See the True Immigrants and Migrants 

● Eligibility: Migrant workers, international students, and new immigrants that are currently residing in Taiwan-- participants from Southeastern Asia are especially welcome. 


◆ Acceptance of submissions starts today and the deadline is 23:59 on July 31, 2015. Award ceremony will be hosted on August 16. 

◆ The short film shall be no longer than 5 minutes in length. Film makers’ native language shall be the primary language of the film. Each person can only participate in one short film. 


◆ The short film shall be uploaded to YouTube.

Top Prize: NT$ 10,000 and a certificate of achievement. 

Second Prize: NT$ 6,000 and a certificate of achievement. 

5 Honorable Mentions: NT$ 2,000 and a certificate of achievement for each 

of the honorable mentions.

(1) All films that have entered the competition shall not plagiarize, use false identity, or infringe copyrights. Violators will be disqualified and awarded prizes and certificates of achievement will be recovered. Violators will also take full legal responsibility. 

(2) Competing films will be disqualified if reviewers reach a decision that the film does not meet the standards. 

(3) Participating films enjoy moral and economic rights, and the event organizer is authorized to promote, reproduce, publish, and issue the film in any form, channel, and time without additional remunerations and 

(4) The participants are considered to have agreed to the regulations of the event; regulations may be amended at any time if there are matters not governed by the said regulations.
